2008 SafeWork Awards winners

WorkCover NSW’s SafeWork Awards were presented on Wednesday 29 October at a gala dinner at the Acer Arena Grand Ballroom, Sydney Olympic Park. A total of 121 entries were received - the highest number received by WorkCover since the awards began in 2004.

The 2008 winners were:

Category 1 - Best workplace health and safety system

Category 2 - Best solution to an identified workplace health and safety issue

Category 3 - Best workplace health and safety practices in a small business

WP Projects 

Category 4 - Public sector leadership award for injury prevention and management

Eraring Energy 

Category 5 - Best individual contribution to workplace health and safety

Paul Waters - Eraring Energy 

Category 6 - WorkCover NSW leadership in safety award
