The 2009 WorkCover NSW SafeWork Awards winners were announced on Wednesday 28 October at a black tie event at the Grand Pavilion Rosehill Gardens.
The Award winners were selected from a highly competitive field of 119 entries and 47 finalists across five categories.
The 2009 winners were:
Category 1 - Best workplace health and safety system
Private sector - Transfield Services
Public sector - Roads and Traffic Authority (NSW)
Category 2 - Best solution to an identified workplace health and safety issue
Rotacaster Wheel Limited
Category 3 - Best workplace health and safety practices in a small business
Pride Investment Holdings
Category 4 - Best individual contribution to workplace health and safety
No formal OHS responsibility - Alan Burman, Country Energy
With formal OHS responsibility - Nardia Zelukovic
Category 5 - WorkCover NSW Leadership safety award
